Winery Review: Soapy floral tones perfume flavors of preserved peach and white grapefruit in this vibrantly fresh, fruity Spätlese. Medium-sweet and forward in style, it's a juicy white wine backed by squirts of tangerine acidity. Best consumed young.
Wine Folly: "An aromatic white variety that can produce white wines ranging in style to bone-dry to very sweet. Germany is the worlds most important producer of Riesling. Off dry Riesling wines make a great pairing to spicy Indian and Asian cuisines and do excellently alongside duck, pork, bacon shrimp, and crab." - Page 158
My Review: This was my first experience with a sweet Riesling. I am glad I decided to try it from none other than the place that has perfected it. I was very pleased with this wine. It had a very floral nose and of course a very fruity (green apple), and tart finish. It was 9%, so there was no heat and it provided a very refreshing taste. This has been a top tier wine in terms of quality to price.
