Winery Review: Stuart Robinson (Vinsomniac) - "Luscious ripe pear, almost dripping is how I sense this wine. The palate is crisp, minerally, a resurgence of the fruit flowing on a wave of that drive and touch of acidic presence. The finish is of a good length, generous and feeding that fruit with a tinge of spice."

Wine Folly: "is a pink grape mutation of Pinot Noir thats most famous for its zesty white wines that range in the style from dry to just plain sweet. Pinot Gris makes an excellent pairing with white meats, seafood, and food with a fruit element, such as lemons, oranges, peaches, or apricots." - Page 149

My Review:

I laughed when I looked up the review online or from the company and I came across the review from Stuart Robinson. The first thing he mentioned was "pear" and that was my exact experience with this wine. It was straight up drinking liquid pear. I suspect it may have a more complex body if it was paired with food but this wine was very one dimensional. It wasn't too hot and the pear taste was refreshing and sweet but not a wine that I was particularly impressed with.
