Winery Review: "This crisp white hits the mark with spicy foods and sipping on its own alike. Enjoy honeyed apricot and peach flavors in the glass, and breathe deeply to capture aromas of rose petals and honeysuckle."
Wine Folly: "Treasured for its intense floral aromas. Gewürztraminer has thrived for centuries in Europe. Wines are best enjoyed in their youth when their acidity is highest. The sweet floral aromatics and ginger like spice paired with a fuller body make Gewürztraminer a great partner to Indian and Moroccan Cuisine." - Page 115
My Review:
I am consistently surprised with my findings as I continue my wine journey. I was convinced I would like reds over whites, but my findings have not supported that claim. This Gewürztraminer was exceptional. My findings were very conclusive with the review in Wine Folly. I was unsure what a floral wine would taste like, but it was like being able to taste a floral shop. I enjoyed it because it did contain a more acidic taste that I have found to like. I enjoy some tartness when tasting wines, especially white wine. What I liked about this wine especially was the fact that it had a sour apple after taste that I particularly enjoyed. It was the perfect balance of floral and fruit and I would highly recommend this wine to a newer person to drinking wine as it is extremely palatable.
