Winery Review: “Pineapple, guava, and white grapefruit on the nose. The palate is light and zippy with lots of acidity. More pineapple, guava, and grapefruit, as well as lime zest, green apple, and minerals on the palate. Dry finish, moderate length. A solid Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. 89 points. Cheers my friends!” – Claire Elizabeth
Wine Folly: Primary flavors include “gooseberry, honeydew, grapefruit, white peach, and passion fruit”
I tasted the bitterness of grapefruit a bit, but I personal didn’t think the wine tasted like any of these.
My Review:
I am consistently surprised with my findings as I continue my wine journey. I was convinced I would like reds oer whites, but my findings have not supported that claim. Let me tell you something, they did this wine the right way. It was amazing. Hands down. For a white, this wine has a lot stronger of a smell than I anticipated. The flavor of this wine was somehow sour, sweet, and bitter all at the same time. I love the tart flavor that makes my mouth pucker. Furthermore, the wine had a very smooth finish, the flavor really stays on your tongue for a long time since it was definitely a white wine with little residual sugar.
